Our boys are getting so big! Colton is doing great. He is a tiny bit smaller then Garrett was at his age. He is healthy and happy! We are so glad that he is home. We all enjoy dancing and singing together. Colton is already a rockin' dancer! You can tell he wants to be just like Garrett already. He is constantly watching him and wanting hugs from him. They laugh together and cuddle all the time. Garrett is a great older brother. He loves Colton and takes very good care of him. We have had a couple times where Colton will accidentally poke Garrett in the eye and Garrett will try and poke his eye back and say to him, "Colton don't poke my eye!" Colton is starting to roll over and is figuring out what his hands are for. For example: I was eating a sandwich and he snatched it out of my hand and hurried to put it in his mouth. He is hilarious. Garrett is getting really good at singing his alphabet and telling me what letters are which. He can count to 13 when he is in the mood to show off. He says the funniest things. The other day he got something in his eyes and said, "OW! My eyeballs!" He also will come in a room and say, "Mom, what the heck are you doing?" He makes us laugh all the time! He is a little mini me. Lucky Mark! We are so glad to have two very happy boys! We are so lucky to have them and we couldn't be more grateful! Oh and Colton's eyes change color with what he wears, but are usually a beautiful blue! Lucky boy! Weird, cause we all have brown eyes.

The last month or so...

So we found out we are having another boy and we are very excited! Garrett is saying more things that we can understand. It is crazy thinking that just 2 years ago our little boy was half the size he is now. It makes me kind of sad, but happy at the same time. It is fun watching him grow and develop! He can count to 3 and we are working on counting to five. He will skip 4 and go straight to 5 but thats ok. Potty training has gone down hill big time. He hardly ever wants to go on the big boy potty. I need to get him motivated again...I just have to figure out the right way too go about doing that. I am growing a lot faster this pregnancy. It is weird having a big belly again, but it is fun feeling that little boy in their kick. He is not moving as much as Garrett, so Mark thinks he will be more mellow then Garrett. We will see once we get them together. The due date is still Feb 3rd, but I am measuring big so I am betting he comes at the end of January. Well other then, that we are doing well. I can't believe Garrett will be 2 so soon! My baby is not a baby anymore!

So I have been very sick this pregnancy, which has been horrible. I am finally over the nausea and into the headaches. Which personally I would rather have the headaches, even though neither is pleasant. I am so grateful for my wonderful husband taking care of everthing for the past few months. He has made sure the house is clean and made sure Garrett was entertained so I could sleep as often as possible. My poor little family has been living on cereal and sometimes eggs. Mark came up to me the other day and said, "We are down to 2 boxes of cereal in storage...thats weird." Well for those who know my obsession with cereal I usually have at least 7 boxes in storage along with the cereals we are currently eating that are upstairs. It made me realize how much cereal I have been eating...way too much! But at least I could eat something. I am finally able to eat more things, but I can rarely eat leftovers. Which is unusal for me. I am glad to be further in to the pregnancy and the next exciting thing is to find out what we are having. I have like 2-3 weeks left to find out, depending on how soon the doctor will let me find out. Other then the pregnancy Mark has been doing well at his job and doing a great job trying to keep up with our moody swamp cooler. We need a new one, but they cost a lot more then I want to pay right now. Thank goodness it is cooler at night now! Garrett has taken an interest in the toilet...but not with wanting to swim in it anymore. He will tell me "Hurry! Potty! Hurry!" It is so cute so we put him on his little seat and he goes potty. He has gone #1 and #2 so we are so proud of him and excited that he is finally interested. I would love to have him fully potty trained by the time baby #2 comes. We will let you know when we find out what we are having! Bye!

Sorry it has been so long since an update on our small little family. We are doing well. Garrett is talking a ton and it is fun to have little conversations with him! We also are having another baby! The due date is Feb 4, 2011. We are very excited! Other then that nothing is really new with us! I will post pics soon!

We planted a garden for the first time this year. It is going really well. We are exploding with cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, zucchini and squash! Oh, and jalapenos. If anyone would like anything please let us know! We don't have a ton of lettuce but there is plenty of other food. And the tomatoes are mostly cherry tomatoes. Here are a few pics. We are hoping more then one pumpkin comes up and that the watermelon make it. We have a few little cute ones coming. Oh and carrots! I forget that we have those since we can't really pick them yet. Garrett loves the garden. He loves to weed it with us. He also loves to eat it as you can see. Mark and I were picking some tomatoes and all of a sudden we look over and he has a whole cherry tomato in his mouth still attached to the vine. It was hilarious! We love having him! He is such a silly boy!

Sorry this has taken me forever to update! Here is what has been going on in our lifes....Garrett got his first 2 teeth. They are the bottom ones. He can stand on his own, but only for a a few seconds. He is into anything and everything he can reach. And when we tell him no he yells at us...he has got his mommy's attitude! It is hard not to laugh at him though when he yells back. His hair is getting way long and still stands up. He is the love of our lifes and we don't know what we would do without him! The top pic is of Garrett's first time playing in the sprinklers, he loved it! So here are a fews picks of the last month and so!

Garrett's first time to Wheeler Farm was funner for me then it was for him. He was just enjoying the ride outside. He was so good, even when we had to stay in the tractor barn for awhile because it started to rain. I got to chitchat with a few friends from my ward. It was way fun. We will have to go again when Garrett will have more fun. Even though he did enjoy hanging out with his little buddies too. He fell asleep as we were leaving and slept for a good 2 hours when we got home. So nice for me cause I got in a good nap too!

I can't believe how fast Garrett is growing up! He is in such a fun stage right now. He is now rolling over and talking/screaming non stop (well the talking has always happened), well the talking is not literal but you know what I mean. Lots of baby talk! He for sure has my attitude as Mark likes to point out almost everyday! But he looks just like Mark. He is perfect. He for sure knows how to work us already though. When he is mad he lets us know by yelling at us. It is cute though. We are amazed at how fast his skills are developing. When he rolls over it is only on the right side, he has tried the left but gets frustrated cause he can't turn all the way and cries. I have to be careful where I put him down cause he moves the second I put him down and tries to grab whatever is closest and put it in his mouth! Well he is a cutie pie!! We are so lucky to have such a good and happy baby! We love him! Here are some random pics of him and of us on St. Patrick's Day! Poor Garrett got more shots on Monday :( Well there is a shortage of one of the most important vaccinations so we have to go back when that one comes in. Poor guy! He has to get shots more often. I feel so bad. They make him so upset! It makes me want to cry. I told Mark 'I don't know if I will have any more kids, cause I do not like seeing Garrett cry and there is nothing I can do about it.' He is a really good boy though. His first shots he only cried for a minute this time he cried for along time. He cried all the way out to the car and everything...so sad! It was cause he was so tired and he had fallen asleep on the way to get his shots. He woke up when we got there and he had only slept for a few minutes. Well to keep everyone up to date he is now 25 1/2 in long and he weighs 13.7 lbs. He is growing so fast! I can't believe my baby is already 4 months old! What a cutie!

And congrats Heather and Ryan!! We are so excited to meet Kayden! Garrett is excited for his best friend to be here finally!!

Back to Work

So I am back to work as of Jan 12th. It has been almost 2 weeks now and it is just as hard to leave every morning as it was that first day back. I didn't full out cry, but I was close. Leaving Garrett is so hard to do. He is so cute and half the time he isn't awake when I am leaving so I just tell him I love him and blow him a kiss. Mark is a great baby sitter though. We are very lucky to be able to have family to watch our son. Mark watches him on Mon, Tues & Weds and my mom watches him on Thurs. I am down to part time which is nice, cause I can see Garrett a lot more then I thought I would. Even though staying home would be ideal. It will come with time. I am very grateful for my job. My boss has been wonderful working with my schedule. Thank you Shari!!
Garrett is getting so fun! I don't want to miss anything so hopefully sooner then later I will be able to be a full time mommy! He is laughing ALL the time and constantly smiling. We are very lucky to have such a good and happy baby. He is more then we could ask for. We love you Garrett!!

Garrett is starting to immitate all the sounds we make. If I sing the alphabet he is singing it too. Well most of the time. His little personality is shinning through! His bouncer chair has toys that can hook on to it. He grabs them now and has staring contests with them. When they don't talk back to him he yells at them. It is so cute! He will be 3 months old this month!! I can't believe it! My baby is getting so big already. Yesterday I left him upstairs for a second with the radio on so I could find a movie downstairs. I could hear him singing to the music all the way down stairs. It was so cute! He is still a cuddler and half the time he won't fall asleep unless he is touching me or Mark. He also is starting to splash in the tub. Every day we are figuring out a new way to make him laugh. Baby laughs are adorable! What a cutie!!

So Smiley!! So tired!

It feels like we have had Garrett forever. I forget he is only a month and a half old. Maybe it seems like so long cause I haven't had a good nights sleep since he has been in my belly! He is getting so big already! I can't believe it! We have his 2 month appointment this month. He is getting chunky. Finally getting fat rolls on his thighs and his cheeks are so cute I just can't stop kissing them! Neither can anyone else for that matter. He is so fun. He is starting to smile a ton! It is so cute. The first time he smiled at me, at the right time, was about a week ago when I was tickling his feet. It was so cute! And then the next morning as soon as Mark got home and said Hi to him he smiled so big!! He hasn't stopped smiling since. It is so cute! He has the cutest no teeth smile I have ever seen! He also loves to give kisses. Well it is more like, I am hungry and your face is the closest thing to me so I will eat that. But I love it. I call them kisses. It is still kind of weird being called Mommy and Daddy, (mark calls me mommy and I call him daddy...Garrett cannot miraculously speak yet :) ) but it is so natural. Weird. He is cooing all the time as usual and is making all sorts of other cute sounds and noises. It is so fun having him in our home. We love him so much!

Thank you to everyone who has helped us in the last 2 months! We have moved into a house and had a baby! We are so grateful for all the help and support we have from family and friends. We are still getting a few things set up at the house. And of course getting used to having a new baby! He is so fun! We love having a house and a wonderful son. We are so lucky and blessed to have so much love and support from others! Once again THANKS to everyone who has helped us out with moving and with Garrett (crib, clothes, blankets, diapers, wipes, etc. and help in general). Thanks for all the cute pictures taken of Garrett at the hospital since I was a little out of it. And all the ones after also. If any one wants to stop by and see him let me know! He loves being the center of attention. I am so lucky to be home for the next few weeks so just let us know when you guys want to come, we are pretty much home all the time. Being a mom is wonderful and being a dad is wonderful, but boy are they huge responsibilities! We are in love with our little boy! He is such a cutie! He already rolls onto his side. He moves a ton. He loves his binkie, eating and cuddling. He won't fall asleep at night unless he is on our bed and touching us in some way. The other night he just stuck out his leg so that his foot was touching Mark. And now that Mark is back at work he has to be right up against me and he likes his hair played with. It is crazy how soon his personality developed and how he knows how to get us to do anything for him just by looking at us with his huge eyes. His hair is so soft and gorgeous. It is longer than Mark's hair. His eyes still haven't become a real color yet. They are a dark brown and gray mix which sounds ugly but it is gorgeous. His eyebrows and eyelashes are getting darker. He smiles all the time. It is so random we don't know what he is smiling about. The other day when Mark got home from work though, Mark said Garrett and Garrett smiled so big cause he knew his daddy was finally home. He loves his dad! He is a total Daddy's boy already. He knows when he wants food that he wants mom, but to talk to and play with he loves Mark. Mark is loving being a dad and I am loving being a mom. What a wonderful new addition to the family. We are loving every minute even the ones at 3 am!!

So we had our baby boy 11 days early. Saturday Oct 18th . He was 7 lbs. 4 oz. 21 in. long. Mark was up hunting when I started getting contractions every 6-7 min. I called the doctor and she said I was fine and I just needed to relax. So I called Mark and he said he would head back down and be home by one. So I watched some TV and tried to relax. My contractions started getting closer and closer. I tried to get a hold of Mark and he had lost reception up at the ranch. I figured he was on his way so I tried to relax some more. Well one o'clock came closer and the contractions were also. I started to freak out cause 1 came then 1:30, and still no word from Mark. Finally at around 2 I called my mom to have her bring me to the hospital. We left my house at around 2:15 and on the way there Mark finally called me. He made it to the hospital right when they were putting in my IV. The IV was the worst part. The epidural was a wonderful thing. They actually had to give me something a little bit stronger cause my right side wouldn't numb all the way. Then I couldn't push very well cause I couldn't feel anything so they turned off the epidural. So toward the end of pushing they turned it back on so I wouldn't feel anything. Everything overall went smoothly. I pushed for 1 hr and 8 min and was in labor for a total of about 8-9 hrs. (well of hard labor) Our baby is a gorgeous little man! We are so lucky and blessed to have a baby. We couldn't be happier. We love our baby Garrett!!

Still no baby yet! I went to the doctor again yesterday, since I go weekly now, and I am dialated to a 3 now. The doctor said he will probably still come early so that is nice to hear. But still it is hard to believe her when I am so uncomfortable. It seems like it will never end now. Even Mark is getting anxious. It feels like I haven't slept in a year and I know this is just the beginning! We are so excited to see our baby! Now every time I call anyone they say "Are you on the way to the hospital?" or "Did you have the baby?" Don't worry I will for sure be having Mark make phone calls to everyone when we have the baby. I am hoping to get a few visitors at the hospital.
Since Garrett will be the first grandchild for most of our parents and the first great grandchild for some grandparents we are expecting a really busy house soon after he comes. It is going to be crazy. It will be fun though. I hope we don't lose it and go crazy! Having a brand new baby is going to be such a big change, but if we weren't ready for it he wouldn't be coming. We are so grateful to have such wonderful family and friends and for the blessing of having a baby. We love you all! Thanks for all your support and everything you have helped us with in these last couple of crazy weeks!

On Monday Mark and I had an interesting day. I came home from work cause my tummy was hurting so bad. I thought it would go away when I went home and relaxed. It did not stop! I called my nurse and asked what the heck was going on. I was having contractions, but they were 5-7 minutes apart, so we didn't have to go to the hospital. It was kind of scary though! We are both so excited for Garrett to come! But at the same time what a change it will be. Mark keeps telling him to go towards the light. Haha, what a nerd! He wants to hold him so bad. I think he is just excited cause I have to have him and he gets to hold him. Anyways back to Monday. After the contractions finally stopped I was able to take a nap. It was nice. I still feel like I have to be careful when I walk cause my stomach feels so sensitive. I can tell that he is getting bigger, my tummy is getting heavier every day, which is wonderful cause at least I know he is staying pretty healthy. Yesterday, Tuesday, we went to the doctor and I am dialated to 2 1/2 centimeters. The doctor said he might come before his due date, and that the contractions are obviously doing something so that is good. But after feeling those I will for sure be getting an epidural, unless he decides to come out too fast...ahhh! We could have our baby any time now!
I am so grateful for a wonderful husband that is so excited to have a baby and is going to be a great dad! I think he is more excited than me at times!

Under Construction

Sorry I have not updated this in forever...not that any of you are surprised! Our lives have been crazy busy since we started this whole trying to buy a house thing. So here is what has happened since last week. Saturday morning at 7 am we FINALLY got the keys to our first house!! We started moving immediatly. Thanks to all those who came and helped! I love you guys. I feel so disable being pregnant sometimes. Which brings me to another subject really fast. I hit 36 weeks! Garrett only has 4 more weeks left. Time is flying, which is something else that keeps us on our toes! We are still trying to set up the house and get it all pretty so we can have people over to see it. I should have figured I couldn't do it in a week. But we always hope we can do the impossible anyway. There is still a few more things to do at our apartment, but other then that we are pretty much out of it! It is weird living in our own place. I kind of miss the little feet running around upstairs and being able to pop my head into the salon and talk to Jami and her clients all night. Chase was always there incase I was lonely and needed someone to hang out with and eat candy with. The house is so quiet. I am sure we will get used to it pretty fast. Also having windows and natural light is wonderful! I forgot how much I missed natural light! As soon as we get internet at home I will put a pic up of our home. We are excited for everyone to come see it! Thanks again to all those who helped especially since I thought that I had packed a lot more then I really had...my bad! The baby obviously needs my whole brain!

So we closed on Friday but we are still waiting for everything to go through with the bank side of things. We are waiting for the sellers to settle. It seems like it is taking forever. Mark and I are going crazy! We have starting packing and cleaning. We are anxious to get in our own place. We are hoping everything will go smoothly, as it has so far. (knock on wood) We will for sure be moving on Saturday still. Thank you all those who can help! Ahhh!

Buying a house

So we have been trying to find a house before Garrett gets here and...We have finally found the one we can see ourselves in! There are 4 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, but piping for a second bathroom. It is a split level, has a one car garage and RV parking. It is in a circle. If everything goes well with the inspection on Monday Sept. 15th we will be closing on the house on Sept 25th. The house is in West Jordan, which will be nice, cause moving won't be too far. We are way excited and so nervous at the same time. A new house and a new baby! Hopefully neither of us will have a breakdown. So far we are doing ok. I figure if other people can do it we can do it too. We are excited for everyone to come see it.

This weekend Mark and I spent the weekend with his family up in Paradise. Mark went off with the boys and I stayed home with the girls. My mother in law, Jill, helped me for 2 days making Garrett a diaper bag. It turned out pretty good. So, Jill, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP!!! I for sure would not have been able to get very far without your help! As you could see when I tried to pin on half of the pattern to the material against the grainlines. Sorry it took me so long to make the bag. I think it took a total of like 13-14 hours. So sad. I will do better next time I sew something. Hopefully I won't need as much help, but I will probably need some help still. It was good to see everyone. Thanks for the great weekend. We love you guys!!

8 Months!

So I hit my 8 month mark! I am feeling the same as usual...sore back, feet and sometimes even stomach. The baby gets the hiccups around 2-3 times a day. It feels so weird. When I went to my last doctors appointment he had them when she checked the heartbeat. It was funny. Mark and I are getting so excited! Mark is going to be a great dad and I am so grateful for him. He has had a lot more experience with babies then me, since he is the oldest of 9. He is going to be a great help. Well more updates soon!

So I suck at blogging! I am sorry to everyone. I promise I will get better. I have pics of me at 4, 5 and 6 months I just need to post them. I am getting big! Hopefully I will be on here later today when I am home to post all my pics and catch up with all of the family events that go on. Sorry to Mickie, Erin and Shantel cause I still haven't put up any of the pics from forever ago at Dad's. Once again my bad!

I was SO wrong. I was 99% sure I was having a girl. I wanted a boy and usually you don't get what you want so I was automatically assuming it was a girl. Well the ultrasound seemed like it took forever! They had to check the heart, arms, hands, feet, legs and brain. Then came the fun part!! As soon as the nurse went by the bum you could tell it was a boy. Mark says my hand went limp. I am way excited just caught off guard. I was all ready to buy pink stuff and cutesy headbands and clothes. Now we will be buying all blue and decorating in BYU stuff if Mark gets his way. I told him that was ok, but I will probably change my mind as it gets closer. Once again just to make sure you understood this message.....I AM HAVING A BOY!!!
We are so excited! His name will be Garrett Mark.

So I have been feeling ok for the most part. I get a little sick in the morning, but I just need to eat and I feel better. I am 4 months along now. I am barely starting to show. None of my pants fit anymore, which means I get to go shopping! We got our first ultrasound pics! When I figure out how to put them on here I will. We get to find out what we are having June 10th!! We are so excited to find out! We will finally be able to start buying stuff that we will need. I am 99% sure it is a girl and 1% it is a boy. Mark is pretty sure it is a boy. We both would like a boy first but we will take what we can get. We will be excited either way! We should have a survey....What does everyone else think it will be?

I gave in and I am finally getting a blog. I was not going to but everyone is doing it so I need to also! Everyone else's page looks awesome, so hopefully I can do just as good of a job. It will take me awhile to figure out what the heck to do, but when I figure it out it will be amazing!
